The Army and Navy Union of the United States of of America - founded in 1886 - is the oldest veterans' organization in America. It is the only American veterans' organization in which membership is not limited to any specific form, or branch, place or nature of the military service rendered, nor is membership restricted by considerations of racial origion or religious creed. Any and All individuals who have ever served honorably in the armed forces United States or who are still serving Honorably in uniform are eligble to membership, provided they obligate themselves...

...TO SERVE OUR COUNTRY IN PEACE AS WELL AS IN WAR.

We all know that the Army & Navy Union, U.S.A. is the first service organization in the United States, and the oldest veterans organization as well.  But did you know that the A.N.U. has a distinctive badge, button and password that is changed at intervals?  Most important for mutual recognition and as evidence of service under the colors.  It has a lapel ribbon similar to the Legion of Honor ribbon of France.  No other veteran organization has this lapel ribbon.  It is comprised of gold and red stripes and can be worn only by members of the Arny & Navy Union, U.S.A.

The business of the A.N.U is secret only in so far as it concerns the members themselves and in no way does this conflict with social, civil or religious affairs and liberties.  The Army & Navy Union, U.S.A. stands for the Union, the Constitution and the flag.  It extends the hand of comradeship to all who are eligible for membership.
